Don’t miss the thrilling journey of humankind’s exploration of space at NASA – A Human Adventure up late until 8pm, 30 September to 8 October.

Visiting with children

Junior astronauts can collect a wrist band and start their fact finding mission by following the stars through the exhibition. Activities for kids: 

  • Take a closer look at real rocket engines and a large scale model of Saturn V moon rocket.
  • What do astronauts eat? See Apollo, Skylab and Soviet Space food.
  • The 60s version of social media, see Neil Armstrong’s handwritten letter to a Queensland student thanking her for the best wishes.
  • Get up close to a space shuttle flight deck and mid deck, including an astronaut loo.
